Doctors & Staff

Dr. Terrence J. Reynolds was raised in Spokane, Washington and graduated from the University of Washington in 1984. He then completed his education, receiving his doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry in May, 1988. He and his wife, who is from Idaho, settled in Boise to raise their family. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Idaho Optometric Association, the Southwest Idaho Optometric Association and the Southern California College of Optometry Alumni Association. Dr. Reynolds has been an active member of Boise Metro Rotary since 1988, and has served in several capacities on the Rotary Board. The Boise Metro Rotary has completed such projects as the renovation of Pioneer Cemetary and the development of Rotary Park behind Garden City City Hall on Glenwood. Dr. Reynolds enjoys target shooting, golf and bicycling in his spare time.

Dr. D.H. Pitkin was raised and educated in Meridian, Idaho and completed his undergraduate education at the College of Idaho in 1969. After completing his Doctorate at Pacific University,in Forest Grove, Oregon, in 1973, he practiced for a time in Canada, before settling in Boise, where he has practiced for many years. He is a long-term member of the Southwest Idaho Optometric Association.

He and his wife, Mary, are the proud parents of three grown children and the delighted grandparents of adorable twin grandsons. In his spare time, Dr. Pitkin enjoys cooking, gardening and hiking in Idaho's scenic wilderness.

Karen became the Office Manager for the Boise Office in August, 2006, and is responsible for insurance billing, personnel, accounting, purchasing, property and website management. Karen graduated from Kuna High School in 1976 and graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 1985. She is a life member of the UW Alumni Association and enjoys reading and movies. She thoroughly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Most proud of her two sons at Boise State University, she and her family love tennis and traveling.

Ronda joined Capital Eye Care in September, 2006. She brings with her years of customer service experience and has been a wonderful addition to our staff. Ronda is our Receptionist and friendly voice is what you'll hear when you call to make an appointment. She and her family moved from Coeur d'Alene to Boise in 1999 and they love living in the Treasure Valley. She is very proud of her two college-age children; her daughter is a graduate of the University of Idaho and her son attends Idaho State University. Fishing, camping and skiing enthusiasts, her family greatly enjoys and appreciates the beauty of Idaho's outdoors.

Bobette, Optometric Technician joined Capital Eye Care in January, 2013, and works primarily at our Boise office, Capital Eye Care, and also substitutes in our Mountame office, the Mountain Home Eye Center, Bobette has quickly become an indispensable member of both of our teams and is happy to be home in Idaho. She graduated from Shoshone High School. She and her husband are the proud parents of three beautiful children. Their son joined the U.S. Army and is stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia. Bobette enjoys gardening and spending time with her extended family that lives in Idaho.

We were especially happy to welcom Teri to our Capital Eye Care staff in January, 2012, and brings many years of outstanding optical experience and enthusiasm to our practice. She is an ABO Certified Optician and will be happy to help patients pick out just the right frame, while providing them with expert information on current lens choices. Teri is also trained as an Optometric Technician and has worked in southern Idaho for many years. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her children and grandchildren.
