Doctors & Staff

Dr. Terrence J. Reynolds was raised in Spokane, Washington and graduated from the University of Washington in 1984. He then completed his education, receiving his doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry in May, 1988. He and his wife, who is from Idaho, settled in Boise to raise their family. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Idaho Optometric Association, the Southwest Idaho Optometric Association and the Southern California College of Optometry Alumni Association. Dr. Reynolds has been an active member of Boise Metro Rotary since 1988, currently serving as secretary on the board. The Boise Metro Rotary has completed such projects as the renovation of Pioneer Cemetary and the development of Rotary Park behind Garden City Hall on Glenwood. Dr. Reynolds enjoys target shooting and bicycling in his spare time.

Dr. D.H. Pitkin joined Capital Eye Care and brings with him many years of experience and expertise. Dr. Pitkin, raised in Meridian, graduated from the College of Idaho in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon, in 1973 and is a member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society. He and his wife, Mary, have three grown children. Dr. Pitkin is an avid backpacker in his free time, with the Bighorn Crags one of his favorite places.

Kathy, an American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certified Optician, has worked with Dr. Reynolds since 1989, both at the Mountain Home Eye Center and in his Boise practice. Kathy is responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as well as insurance management. She also works as an Optometric Technician, providing pre-testing for patients. She has always been an integral part of the success of our practice. An Idaho native, Kathy, enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loves to sew and quilt for enjoyment.

Karen has been working with Dr. Reynolds since 1992 developing the marketing and advertising for his Mountain Home office. She became the Office Manager for the Boise Office in August, 2006, and is responsible for personnel, accounting, supplies, purchasing, property and website management. She worked closely with Dr. Reynolds and the contractor in the planning and construction of our new office building on Emerald. Raised in Idaho, Karen graduated from Kuna High School and then graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 1985. She is a life member of the UW Alumni Association and has been actively involved in the Parent Teacher Organizations of her sons' schools. She thoroughly enjoys reading and she and her family love bicycling, travelling and movies.

Ronda joined Capital Eye Care in September, 2006. She brings with her years of customer service experience and has been a wonderful addition to our staff. Ronda is our Insurance Billing Clerk and Receptionist. Ronda's friendly voice is what you'll hear when you call to make an appointment. She and her family moved from Coeur d'Alene to Boise ten years ago and they love living in the Treasure Valley. Fishing, camping and skiing enthusiasts, her family greatly enjoys the beauty of Idaho's outdoors. Ronda also enjoys attending her son's soccer games for Capital High School.

Amy joined the staff of Capital Eye Care in March, 2010, and brings several years of optical experience to our practice. She is ABO Certified and will be happy to help patients pick out just the right frame. Please stop by and welcome Amy to Capital Eye Care!
